Can't Wait!

Hi Everyone,

New to this forum but definitely not new to RAM trucks. Had my fair share of 1500's and currently driving around in a 1500 ecodiesel. Going forward I will want the rumored hybrid 5th generation. My needs out of a truck are similar to someone shopping for a Durango. I just like trucks, pure and simple.

Glad to hear, and that's what I am here for. Not enough sources just focused on the new RAM alone, better to cut through all that fluff and go right to a main hub. Looking forward to how this community will grow over the coming months and years

Welcome to the forum! Pickups are great, but how much fuel they consume is their downfall. A hybrid system would make the 5th gen Ram more appealing to those who were on the fence because of that reason.

I agree but hopefully this time around with all the weight saving tech car makers are introducing that we will see some of that rub off here. RAM or any other truck maker doesn't have a choice. Adapt or get left behind.

Higher use of aluminum in the chassis seems to be the solution that some automakers are moving towards, and it'll counteract the additional weight a hybrid system would add on.

they might be able to get around that and use cheaper metals plus with aluminum there is the concern it won't hold up as well in an accident as you can imagine. i'm skeptical about it but curious to see what car makers will do .
