i'm not sure if this is the for the current gen Ram or the 5th Gen, but AutoEvolution says the new 2019 Jeep Scrambler pickup is going to borrow its rear suspension from the Ram 1500. If this is for the next gen Ram, could this mean the new pickup's rear suspension would be more off-road friendly to keep in line with the Jeep brand?

Not only that but an increase in towing capacity is a major benefit from this move. Smart move to make given the fact they want to make it a real truck and not just another JK8 that only built on the JK. Its enough to have me consider the JT over the new RAM 1500!

Its great to see that Jeep really is trying to make a true pickup and not something merely styled that way. Rumor has it that the Scrambler will be less off road capable however due to sharing the rear suspension with the Ram. Lets hope that these trucks still find a way to distinguish themselves, if they plan on sharing different components.

In a way they have to given the fact that they have some real competition and the market is at a point where bringing another JK8 to market would be a bad move.
